Connect Claude or ChatGPT (MCP)
Operating your Trama from your own AI assistant, in plain language.
Trama exposes an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, so an assistant like Claude or ChatGPT can query and operate your organization directly — no copy-pasting between apps, and no code.
MCP is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to external tools and data. Adding Trama as a connector gives your assistant a set of tools over your operation: opportunities, customers, conversations, catalogue, pendings.

Connecting sends your organization's data to the assistant you chose. The opportunities, customers and conversations your assistant queries are processed on your provider's infrastructure — Anthropic for Claude, OpenAI for ChatGPT — under their terms and retention policies, not ours.
Trama does not trim what it returns: you get exactly what your role lets you see in the dashboard. Which assistant to connect, and whether to connect one at all, is the organization's call.
The shortest path is Settings → Connect with AI in the dashboard: there's a button that opens Claude with the connector already loaded, and the address ready to copy into ChatGPT.
Before you start
- An active Trama account, logged in to the dashboard at least once.
- The organization you want to work on selected as active — if you belong to several, the connector uses the active one at authorization time.
- An MCP client that supports OAuth with Dynamic Client Registration. Claude.ai and ChatGPT already do.
Connecting it
You need a paid Claude plan — Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise. Free accounts can't add connectors.
Open connectors
In Claude.ai or the desktop app, go to Settings → Connectors.
Add the connector
Hit Add custom connector and paste https://ai.trama.so/mcp.
Sign in to Trama
Claude redirects you. Use the same account you log in to the dashboard with.
Authorize
You grant access to your active organization. Done — in any conversation you can ask it to use Trama.
Asking it things
Once it's connected, you talk normally:
- "Show me this week's qualified opportunities"
- "How many new customers came in from the Bariloche campaign"
- "Summarize Maria's pending follow-ups"
- "Log that I called Pérez and he asked for another option"
Your client also carries ready-made routines — "review my day", "state of the funnel" — in its prompt menu.
Permissions and security
- Access uses OAuth 2.1: you never share your Trama password with Claude or ChatGPT.
- The token lives only inside the client you connected, and you can revoke it at any time from Trama settings.
- Every response runs with your role on the active organization. If your permissions are reduced, what the connector offers changes with them.
- If you're invited to a new organization or switch the active one, disconnect and reconnect to refresh the context.
Current limitations
- You can't reply to a customer. Conversations are read-only; the single exception is answering a question the agent asked the team.
- Opening a conversation returns its 50 most recent messages, so on a long thread you're reading the tail, not the whole history.
- Anything that needs a file already uploaded to a WhatsApp conversation — reading media, building a quote from a document — isn't available: an MCP client has no way to reach it.
- You can prepare a campaign but not send it. Approving and sending stays in the dashboard.
- The server doesn't stream: each response arrives complete.
- A client without dynamic OAuth (Dynamic Client Registration) can't connect. Claude.ai and ChatGPT can.
