Meta One for travel agencies: features, pricing and limits
What each Meta One plan includes, how much it costs and its WhatsApp Business limits. Check linked devices, chat assignment and coexistence with Trama.
Plans and multi-agent tools checked against Meta; coexistence and costs against its documentation and notices. Trama features checked in its guides.

Meta introduced Meta One on September 15, 2026: a subscription that adds benefits across Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp. It offers four business plans, with reference prices starting at US$14.99 and reaching US$499 a month.
An agency we met at FIT asked whether Meta One could help organise their team's WhatsApp service. The useful questions are what it adds, how it fits alongside Trama, and what the agency needs to move an enquiry through to a sale.
What Meta One is
It is a paid layer on top of the apps you already use. The WhatsApp Business app is still free: Meta One adds features to your account for a monthly fee.
The rollout is gradual. Benefits, prices and availability vary by region, app and account. On our own team, the option appeared for one person but not the others: check what your account offers before assuming a benefit is included.
Meta One business plans and pricing
- Essential, from US$14.99 a month. Includes verification benefits for subscribed profiles that become verified, impersonation protection on Instagram and Facebook, and more access to Meta Business Agent on WhatsApp Business. Paying does not automatically grant a badge.
- Advanced, from US$49.99 a month. Includes 6 linked devices on WhatsApp Business, 500 broadcast credits and Instagram access for up to four additional people, without sharing your password.
- Expert, from US$149 a month. Increases broadcast credits to 1,250, gives up to eight additional people access to Instagram, and includes human support up to five times a month.
- Max, from US$499 a month. Includes 10 linked devices on WhatsApp Business, 5,000 broadcast credits, Instagram access for up to 30 additional people and a content-strategy advice call every six months.
These are starting reference prices in US dollars and benefits published by Meta. Check the amount, taxes and features shown for your account. Shared Instagram access and WhatsApp linked devices are separate benefits.
WhatsApp Business features for travel agencies
For a team using a single number, additional devices can help. WhatsApp Business already supports up to four linked devices without the multi-agent feature; eligible plans raise that limit and add tools for coordinating customer service.
Verification can help customers recognise the agency's account. Broadcast credits are intended for business messages sent from the app, such as a group departure or promotion, subject to customer permissions and WhatsApp's rules.
Chat assignment and sales follow-up
WhatsApp does document manual chat assignment to sales reps through the multi-agent feature available with Meta One or Meta Verified. It also lets reps filter assigned chats and check which agent or device sent a message. Availability and device limits depend on the account and subscription.
For a travel agency, the work continues after assigning a chat: collecting destination, dates and passenger details, preparing a quote, recording its status and following up at the right time. If you need rules-based automatic routing, opportunity follow-up and sales visibility, evaluate those tasks separately using a real team workflow.
WhatsApp API costs: what is billed separately
Since October 1, 2026, API service messages are charged per delivered message after the first 1,000 per business number each month. These are free-form replies within the 24-hour customer service window. For recipients in Argentina, the reference rate is US$0.026; exceptions include free entry point windows from ads. Templates have their own categories and charges.
Messages your team sends manually from the WhatsApp Business app remain free of API delivery charges, including under coexistence. That does not remove charges for API automations or turn Meta One broadcast credits into credit for API fees.
Compare the full cost: subscriptions, messages actually delivered through the API and team time. With 400 enquiries and five delivered service replies each from a single number, that is 2,000 messages. After a monthly allowance of 1,000, there would be 1,000 chargeable messages. At US$0.026 for Argentina, the example totals US$26 before taxes and other charges, assuming no free entry point window applies.
WhatsApp Business coexistence: compatibility and limits
Coexistence lets an eligible number remain in the app while connecting to the API. Sales reps can keep using WhatsApp while Trama receives supported messages to maintain the sales context. Before adding Meta One, review these points together:
- The coexistence documentation says app broadcast lists are disabled. Do not assume Meta One broadcast credits work the same way in that setup.
- The coexistence guide describes up to four linked devices, while some Meta One plans offer higher limits. The documentation we checked does not resolve that combination: confirm your number's effective limit before subscribing for that benefit.
- Group chats are not synced with the platform.
- Messages sent through the API still follow WhatsApp Business Platform rates and windows. A Meta One subscription does not replace that billing.
What to check before changing WhatsApp providers
Changing provider or moving a number to the app does not automatically recover the history stored in your previous CRM. Before cancelling it, request an export of contacts and conversations, check what it contains, and confirm what can be imported into the new system.
If your number currently works only through the API, review the route back to the app or into coexistence with your provider and Trama. Do not disconnect the service or delete the account before confirming how to preserve customer service and the data you need.
Where Trama adds value to your agency's work
Trama provides an AI employee specialised in travel: it handles enquiries, gathers trip details, qualifies them according to the agency's configuration and hands them to a sales rep with context. Your team remains responsible for quoting, negotiating and closing, with opportunities and follow-up organised.
Trama also supports opportunity routing based on language, specialism, previous customer relationships, rotation or team workload, plus configurable reminders for each sales stage.
If you already use Trama, assess Meta One for the additional benefits you actually need. The priority is to retain your agency's context, qualification and follow-up, and validate compatibility before adding another subscription.
If you use Trama's agent, coordinate before enabling another automated assistant on the same number. Decide which system responds and when a person takes over to avoid duplicate or conflicting replies.
Frequently asked questions about Meta One
How much does Meta One cost for businesses?
Essential starts at US$14.99 a month; Advanced at US$49.99; Expert at US$149; and Max at US$499. These are starting reference prices. The amount, taxes and available benefits must be confirmed for each account.
Can Meta One assign chats to sales reps?
Yes. WhatsApp's multi-agent feature documents manual assignment, assigned-chat filters and identification of the agent or device that sent a message. Availability and the number of linked devices depend on the account and subscription.
Does Meta One replace Trama?
The decision depends on the work you need to handle. Meta One adds benefits to Meta apps. Trama combines travel-specialised AI service, qualification, rules-based routing and opportunity follow-up. If you already work with Trama, assess Meta One's additional benefits and compatibility with your setup.
Does replying on WhatsApp cost money?
Messages sent manually from the WhatsApp Business app do not incur API delivery charges. Since October 1, 2026, API service messages include an allowance of 1,000 delivered messages per number per month; beyond that they are charged by the recipient's market, subject to applicable exceptions. The reference rate for Argentina is US$0.026. Templates and other services are calculated separately.
What changes for business portfolios on November 1?
In the notice received by Trama, Meta announced that from November 1, 2026, people with access to our portfolio will be able to buy and manage Meta One without full portfolio access. This is a permission change for that portfolio; each business should check its own notice and settings under Business information.
Can I combine Meta One with Trama under coexistence?
The benefits available to your number need to be checked. Coexistence keeps the app connected to the API, but has synchronisation, broadcast and device limitations. Do not assume every Meta One benefit is available in that setup.
