Notifications
What Trama tells you, through which channel, and how to turn off what you don't want without losing what matters.
Trama reaches you through three channels: email, WhatsApp and the dashboard bell. Settings → Notifications is where you pick which ones you want, notice by notice and channel by channel.
The rule behind all of it
If a WhatsApp reaches you, so does an email, and it lands in the bell. That isn't redundancy: a WhatsApp depends on three things that can fail without anyone noticing — your number being linked, it being your hours, and Meta not having changed its mind about the template. Email is the channel that depends on none of that.
That's why you can turn channels off with confidence: there's always another way to find out.
Picking notice by notice
Every notice has its own row and a switch per channel. They're grouped by topic: sales, your day and reminders, incidents, and account and billing.
The ones with no switch are the ones that can't be turned off, and there are few: payments, security, and anything you asked for yourself — an access code, an invitation, an export you requested. Turning those off isn't a preference, it's not finding out your card was declined.
Turning off a whole channel
At the top there are three switches that beat all the others: "no more emails", "stop messaging me on WhatsApp", "don't fill up my bell".
It's the quick exit when you don't want to walk through twenty rows. With a channel off, its fine-grained switches grey out: the channel's silence wins.
Turning off email is the costliest of the three. It's the only channel that always arrives, instantly, without depending on Meta. If you're going to turn one off, make it WhatsApp.
Payment and security notices still arrive by email even with it off. That's on purpose.
Hours apply to WhatsApp only
Your notification hours decide when we message you on WhatsApp. Outside your hours the notice isn't lost: it waits and goes out on its own when you open.
Email and the bell never wait. They arrive instantly, whatever the hour.
Two notices skip the hours on purpose: a reminder you scheduled yourself for a specific time, and the last step of a question escalated to the account owner — which exists precisely because nobody answered earlier.
The dashboard bell
Every notice that goes out on WhatsApp also lands in the bell, with a link to where it gets resolved: the conversation, the opportunity, your day.
It's the safety net for when you missed both the email and the WhatsApp. What it does not do is count as you having found out: Trama never treats someone as notified just because an unopened notification is sitting there.
Changing it by talking
You don't have to open the dashboard. Message the Trama Agent and ask for whatever you want:
- "Stop sending me emails"
- "I don't want assigned-lead notices on WhatsApp any more"
- "How are my notifications set up?"
Anyone on the team can do this for their own notices, without asking an admin. If you don't say which channel, it will ask rather than guess.
Hours and absences are still changed from the dashboard, in Availability.
An Owner or Admin can also ask on someone else's behalf: "stop sending Juan WhatsApp notices".
Who can change what
Everyone manages their own notices. An Owner or Admin can additionally adjust any member's from Team, and when they do, who changed it is recorded.
