Web widget
Putting the Trama chat on your own website: the snippet, the look, and what to expect.
Beta. We're refining this feature with our first businesses.
The widget needs a paid plan: it starts on Starter, like everything else about the Inquiry Agent. It doesn't use up an included channel, but the opportunities the agent qualifies there draw on your plan's monthly allowance — it's explained in Plans.
Add the Trama widget to your site: the same agent that handles WhatsApp answers inquiries, captures visitor data, and creates opportunities.
How to install it
- Go to Channels → Web (Owner or Admin only).
- Copy the code with the Copy snippet button.
- Paste it before the
</body>tag on your site. It works on HTML, WordPress, Wix, Shopify, Webflow, and sites built with React or Vue.
The snippet loads the widget from our CDN, so you don't need to paste it again when you change the appearance: changes apply on their own.
What you can customize
- Primary color (presets or your own color).
- Shape of the bubble and buttons: round, soft, or square.
- Position: left or right.
- Theme: system (follows the visitor's), light, or dark.
- The bubble icon: the Trama logo, your organization's logo, or your own image (PNG, JPG, WebP, or SVG, up to 1 MB).
The agent name shown in the chat comes from your Inquiry Agent (you configure it under Agents). Appearance changes are saved automatically.
What visitors can do
- Write and send files: photos, PDF, Word, Excel, audio and video, up to 6 per message. The agent reads them; it listens to an audio and answers what it says.
- See what the agent is doing while it replies, for example "Looking for options…" when it checks your catalog. What the agent does behind the scenes (recording the opportunity, handing off to a seller) is not shown.
- Rate each reply with 👍 or 👎. Those votes go to the same review as the ones your team marks from the Inbox, so they help improve the agent.
It is the same chat you use with Tramy inside Trama: what improves in one improves in both.
Preview vs. real widget
The preview on the configuration screen is only for testing the look: no leads or conversations are recorded there and no data is captured. On your real site, the widget captures IP, browser, and referring page, records the conversation, and creates the opportunity with source "Web widget".
If your site has a CSP
If your site uses a Content Security Policy, allow the Trama domain from the snippet in script-src, connect-src, and img-src (plus style-src 'unsafe-inline'; the widget isolates its styles in a Shadow DOM, so it doesn't affect your page).
