Templates
The texts your team sends often on WhatsApp, saved with fields to fill in: pick one from the opportunity, fill in what changes, and copy it or open it in WhatsApp.
A template is a text your team sends often —a package sheet, the payment details, the follow-up after a proposal— saved with fields to fill in each time. Trama doesn't send it: you put the message together, review it and send it yourself from WhatsApp.
Mine and the team's
- Mine. Only the person who created it sees it and uses it. Anyone on the team can create their own.
- Team. The whole team uses it. Owners and Admins create, edit and archive them, so there is one current version: when a price changes, it changes in one place.
To start from a team template and adjust it your way, open it and tap Copy to my templates.
Writing one
In Templates, tap Create template, give it a name and write the text. Anything between braces is a field: {Hotel}, {Departure date}, {Deposit}. On the right you see the fields it detects and how the message reaches the customer.
Four fields fill themselves in with the opportunity's data:
| Field | What it puts |
|---|---|
{Name} | The customer's name |
{Destination} | The opportunity's destination |
{Seller} | Your name: whoever sends the message |
{Agency} | Your business name |
Any other name between braces is a field you fill in when you use it. Case and accents don't matter: {Deposit} and {deposit} are the same field.
The currency is part of the text. Write it the way you use it (USD, $, €), or make it a field —Deposit of {Currency} {Deposit}— if it changes per customer.
Using one with a customer
Open the opportunity
In the opportunity panel, tap Use template.
Pick the template
Search it by name. Yours come first, then the team's, with the ones you use most at the top.
Fill in what's missing
From the opportunity shows the data that fills itself in; if something is wrong, fix it in the opportunity. To fill in has the template's fields and any data the opportunity is missing.
Copy or open WhatsApp
Open in WhatsApp opens the customer's chat with the text already written: you review it and send it. Copy puts it on the clipboard to paste wherever you want.
While a field is empty, both buttons are disabled, so no message goes out with braces in it. If you switch templates, what you already typed in a field with the same name is kept.
With no phone on the opportunity (an Instagram customer, for example), only Copy shows.
Using one without a customer
From Templates, open one and tap Use. You fill in the fields and copy the text, to paste it in any chat.
What it doesn't do
- It doesn't send the message. You send it from WhatsApp.
- It doesn't carry photos or PDFs. WhatsApp doesn't open a chat with a file attached: the text comes from the template and you attach the file.
- It isn't a Meta template. Those of Campaigns go through Meta's approval and Trama sends them; these are your own text.
